The universe works in mysterious ways, intertwining lives at crucial moments throughout this extraordinary journey we call life. And so it was, that I stumbled upon an opportunity to fulfill your pet needs. It all began with a simple comment on a Facebook post, as many of us often do...
Meet Sadie, The Crazy Lady
Sadie, a beautiful and energetic black lab, has just turned two years old and is finally growing into her body. She has left behind the clumsiness of puppyhood and is learning to behave quite well. Sadie's passions include swimming, chasing sticks, rolling in anything stinky, playing keep-away, and engaging in a spirited game of tug-of-war. While still learning, Sadie has displayed an innate ability to understand other dogs. She is a natural sweetheart and enjoys off-leash play with furry friends, as well as jogging alongside her human companions. Although Sadie can be a handful...
Interested in becoming my client?
This is not your average blog post. Allow me to set the record straight right from the start: my clients are the animals, and it just so happens that you humans foot the bill.
I say this in jest, but I genuinely prioritize the well-being of my clients. When I first met Sadie's owner, I made the same playful remark. Surprisingly, Sadie's owner appreciated my blunt humor, sparking a meaningful conversation about life as we strolled through Macaulay Point Park. That's where the seeds of enlightenment were sown — reflecting on the journey that led me here, pondering the things I've overlooked, and contemplating what lies ahead.
You might be wondering why I'm starting with this grandiose perspective on a simple encounter. Stick with me, and it will all make sense.
Macaulay Point Park holds a significant place in my physical recovery journey. It all began nearly a year ago with a walk and a video in this very location. When I say "the hard way," I mean no painkillers or treatments lately; it's all me. This park is where Mel, a my fiancé, took me for an easy stroll when I was learning to walk with a cane. Little did Mel know the profound impact this place would have on me. In one profound moment, I defied the doctors' predictions!
Back then, reaching the top was a struggle, even with the aid of a cane. After my surgery, I was completely reliant on the cane and experienced helplessness for the first time in my life. I couldn't avoid oncoming cars, rise from a chair, or instantly correct any situation. But now, as I walk around this park, matching Sadie's steps alongside her owner, tears well up in my eyes. I gaze at the elevated platform and chuckle at how effortlessly I can conquer it now, without a cane. I can't help but feel a twinge of embarrassment for doubting myself. That tiny bug of doubt, which landed in my ear, was proven wrong. They said there was less than a 10% chance of regaining strength in my leg. Something tells me they were gravely mistaken!
A simple comment set me on the path of becoming a dog walker. In hindsight, I wonder, "Why didn't I think of this sooner?" I've always derived immense joy from the company of animals, and I've been searching for something that gives my life purpose. I possess a knack for photography and a passion for videography. People and animals naturally find solace in my presence and trust me. Countless animals out there would benefit from visits by a companion like me. As a fellow dog lover, I can envision how owners would appreciate the effort of giving their furry friends a special place here on my blog.
I hope you enjoyed this glimpse into my journey and the introduction to Sadie, the remarkable pup who has brought so much light into my life. Stay tuned for more heartwarming stories, breathtaking visuals, and valuable insights.
